Jane Beekman

Jane Beekman, 77, of Falls City, NE passed away November 19, 2022 at her home. She was born October 14, 1945 at York, NE to Verdett and Pearl (Domeier) Bumgarner.

She married Peter Beekman and they were later divorced. She then married Richard Buckminster on June 1, 2011 at Falls City.

Jane was raised at York and graduated York High School in 1964, going on to graduated Peru State College with a degree in psychology. She started working in Iowa as a psychotherapist. She worked in the mental health field for many years. In her retirement she helped her husband working at the elevator in Salem. She attended the First Brethren Church at Falls City.

Jane is survived by her husband, Richard Buckminster of Falls City, sons, Davis Beekman and his wife Gracie of Uriah, CA, Matt and his wife Katie of Sacramento, CA, step-children, Bobby Joe Simmonds of Falls City, Chris Simmonds of Lake Havasu, AZ, a brother, Dr. Donald Bumgarner of Shenandoah, IA, and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Verdell Bumgarner.

Jane’s body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
