John Anno

John Anno, 98, of Rulo, NE, passed away July 5, 2024 at Lincoln, NE. He was born May 11, 1926 at Forest City, MO to Gerald and Mary (Clift) Anno.

He married Lola Marie Reynolds on March 9, 1948 at St. Joseph, MO.

John was raised in Forest City and graduated from Forest City High School in 1947. He was drafted into the U. S. Army and served in WWII. When married the couple moved to a farm in Rulo where he farmed until his retirement in 1990. He had also been employed as a railroader before being drafted and then after his discharge. He was a member of the VFW at Falls City.

John is survived by his wife, Lola Marie of Falls City, daughters, Martha Ann Davis and her husband Richard of Humboldt, NE, Fran Kuker and her husband Rick of Shubert, NE, sons, Jerry of Humboldt, Darrell of Rulo and Darren and his wife Emily of Lincoln, eleven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Dwaine, Gerald and Carl, sisters, Joann Jones and Elaine McCool, two grandchildren in infancy and a daughter, Patricia Travis.

Mr. Anno has been cremated and a graveside service will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Benton Cemetery.
