Joyce Bek

Joyce Bek, 79, of Falls City, NE, passed away December 28, 2020 at Lincoln, NE. She was born June 14, 1941 at Barada, NE to Verne and Doris (Dragoo) Sailors.

She married Donald Bek on July 10, 1960 at Falls City. He passed away October 9, 1989.

Joyce graduated Shubert High School in 1958 as Valedictorian. When married the couple established their home in Falls City. She was the Richard County Assessor from 1980 until 1990. She moved to Madison, NE and worked for the State of Nebraska in the Property Tax Division for 12 years and then retired. She moved back to Falls City in 2007 and has lived here since. She was an incredible seamstress and an active member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Joyce is survived by her son, Scott of Melbourne, FL, brother, Dave Sailors and his wife Elaine of Falls City, grandchildren, Matt Bek and his wife Desiree and Kaitlin Bek both of Collinsville, VA, Adam Bek and his wife Kristi of Texas, Alyssa Mabe of Fleetwood, NC and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Jeff.

Mrs. Bek has been cremated and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
