Joyce Curry

Joyce M. Curry, 81, of Reserve, KS, passed away December 17, 2020 at Lincoln, NE. She was born May 28, 1939 at Kansas City, MO to Bryan and Juanita (Galraith) Bates.

She married William Speckhals on July 7, 1956 and they were later divorced. She then married John Curry on October 7, 1967 at Kansas City, MO.

Joyce lived in Richmond, MO before moving to Kansas City and when married to Mr. Curry they made their home in Kansas City where she was a homemaker. They moved to Reserve, KS in May of 1973 and have lived there since.

Joyce is survived by her husband, John of Reserve, sons, John Speckhals of Hiawatha, KS, Larry Speckhals of Waverly, MO, step-daughter, Cindy Burkett of Key Largo, FL, two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and a step-son, John Curry, Jr.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday December 23, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Lehmkuhl officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.
