Leland Vice

Leland Vice, 84, of Shubert, NE, passed away November 8, 2022 at Falls City, NE. He was born December 28, 1937 at Shubert to Glenn and Gladys (Ramsey) Vice.

He married LaReine Gilmore on January 16, 1959 at Omaha, NE. She passed away January 7, 2020.

Leland was raised on a farm in Shubert and following his schooling he moved to Omaha and worked at Eli Lily as a maintenance worker. He then moved back to Shubert in 1970 and became an arborist working with his brother. He also set houses for many mobile home companies. In 1983 he and his wife started a business making and selling crafts. He attended Good News Assembly of God Church.

Leland is survived by his daughters, LeAnne Richey and her husband Gary of Falls City, Anna Barnett and her husband Harvey of Wingo, KY, grandsons, Gary Richey, Jr. and his wife VeLera and Josh Richey and his wife Molley both of Falls City, LaCoda Tuthill of Wingo, KY, great-grandchildren, Lathan, DeLana, Kimber and Beau, brothers, Rolland and his wife Iris of Stella, NE, Ted and his wife Colleen of Omaha. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Glen Fay, Donald and Howard Vice, sisters, Wilda Halligan, Darlene Bednorz, Gladys Lundy and Lila Meyerkorth.

His funeral will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Good News Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tim Boatright officiating. Interment will be in Harris Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-4:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
