Lois Rhodd

Lois Rhodd, 90, of Pawnee City, NE, passed away August 18, 2022 at Pawnee City. She was born October 17, 1931 at Rulo, NE, to Glenn and Bessie (Cochran) Kelley.

She married Melvin Rhodd and they were later divorced.

Lois was raised at Rulo and graduated from Rulo High School in 1949. Following graduation, she worked in restaurants and also bartended, most notably she worked for the Elks Lodge and the American Legion Club in Falls City. She retired in 2000 and moved to Pawnee City where she helped take care of her grandsons and attend all their events. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church at Pawnee City and the VFW Auxiliary of Falls City.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Kellie Wiers of Pawnee City, grandsons, Jake Wiers and his wife Grace of Bennington, NE, Nate Wiers of DuBois, NE and great-granddaughters, Lydia and Abigail. She was preceded in death by her parents and twelve siblings.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Connor Barr officiating. Interment will be in Rulo Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.

Open visitation and viewing will begin Sunday afternoon until 5:00 PM.
