Mark O'Grady

Mark O’Grady, 64 of Falls City, NE, passed away June 12, 2022 in Falls City. He was born January 8, 1958 at Falls City to Ed and Patricia (Darling) O’Grady.

He married Patricia Liebert on April 29, 1995 and they were later divorced. He then married Janyce Schuler-Kirkendall on July 31, 2018 at Greeley, CO.

Mark was raised in Falls City and graduated from Falls City High School in 1976 and then attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and studied architecture. Following college, he worked various jobs before joining Millwright Local Union 1607 in Denver, CO and becoming a Millwright, he worked in sever different locations throughout the United States. He later joined Millwright Local Union 1529 in Kansas City where he continued with millwright work. He retired in 2020 due to his health after 35 years of being a millwright. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

Mark is survived by his wife Janyce of Falls City, foster-children, Joe and Claire, step-son, Todd Kirkendall and his wife Suzan of Warrensburg, MO, step-son-in-law, Larry Peterson of Chandler, AZ, parents, Ed and Patricia of Falls City, brothers, Steve and his wife Marsha of Falls City, Chuck and his wife Donna of Falls City, Tom of Louisville, KY, sisters, Kristy O’Grady of Spurger, TX, Catherine Goza of Greeley, CO, Teresa O’Grady of Falls City, four step-grandchildren, two step-great-granddaughters, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Michelle Peterson.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rulo with Father Lawrence Stoley as the presiding priest. Inurnment will be Falls City Catholic Cemetery.

A Parish Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 5:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home, family will receive friends following the rosary at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to Falls City Catholic Cemetery.
