Mary Johnson Obituary

Mary Lou Johnson, 90, of Falls City, NE, passed away February 28, 2020 at Falls City. She was born July 20, 1929 at Alamo, TX, to Frank H. and Alyda (Wood) Eickhoff. 

She married Norman (Jitterbug) Johnson, Jr. on June 6, 1950 at Lincoln, Nebraska. He passed away August 8, 2002.

Mary Lou was born at Alamo, TX and lived there for 8 years until moving to Falls City. She graduated Falls City High School in 1947. She started working for Monarch Engineering Company and then Falls City Auto Supply, both in Falls City. After marriage, the couple established their home in Lincoln and she worked for St. Elizabeth Hospital for 30 years until retiring in 1993. Mary Lou moved to Oklahoma City, OK in 1994, Plano, TX in 1996 and to Falls City in March of 2001 where she has lived since. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church.

Mary Lou is survived by sons, Kenneth Johnson and his wife Jeanette of Lincoln, NE,  William Johnson of Kansas City, Michael Johnson and his wife Sheryl of Fargo, ND, daughters, Debra Myers and her husband Steven of Fairhope, AL, Judy Hart of Aurora, CO, daughter-in-law, Helen Johnson of Lincoln, sister, Thelma Kirkendall of Falls City, half-sister, Glenda Sechovec and husband Russ of Donna, TX, half-brothers, Thomas Eickhoff and his wife Lynn of Mission, TX, Danny Eickhoff of Tigard, OR, fourteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, son, Roger Johnson, step-mother, Lucille Eickhoff and son-in-law, Robert Hart.

Her memorial service will be Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Rick Martin officiating. Inurnment will be in Steele Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 7:00-8:00 P.M. at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
