Mary Ann Manly

Mary Ann Manly, 87, of South Elgin, IL, passed away August 6, 2020. She was born February 25, 1933 and raised on a farm near Fall City, NE. Mary Ann attended Peru State Teachers College and taught in a one room schoolhouse for four years near North Platte, NE. She also taught third grade in Plattsmouth, NE for three years before getting married and raising her family in Bloomingdale, IL. Mary Ann worked in later years as a school librarian in District 15 before retiring from education. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to St Joseph’s Indian School stjo.org and Audobon Society of Wachiska wachiskaaudubon.org.

She is the beloved wife of the late Phillip D.; loving mother of Phillip (Linda), Jr., Tony (Susan), Theresa (Pierre) Fogal and David (Cindy); cherished grandmother of Sarah (Aaron) Musick, Kristin (Aaron) Bonner, Jack and Lydia Manly, Alex, Andre, Serena Fogal, Jessica and Jacob Manly; dear sister of the late George and Jerry (Kathy) Bauman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sts. Anne’s Catholic Church with Father Kenneth Hoesing as the presiding priest. Inurnment will be in St. Anne’s Cemetery

A Paris Rosary will be recited on the same day at 9:00 AM at the church.
