Mary Helen Nussbaum

Mary Helen Nussbaum, 88, of Falls City, NE, passed away October 25, 2022 at Falls City. She was born October 24, 1934 at Falls City to Henry and Helen (Gerhardt) Krueger.

She married Myron G. Nussbaum on November 13, 1955 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north of Falls City.

Mary Helen was raised in Falls City and graduated from Falls City High School in 1952. She then attended business school in Omaha, NE and when married the couple established their home north of Falls City. She worked as a bookkeeper for Falls City Mercantile and then helped manage the family business, Gerhardt Electric. She retired from Nebraska Job Service in 1990 after several years of service. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Mary Helen is survived by her husband, Myron of Falls City, children, Joyce Nussbaum and her spouse Kim McDaniel of Box Elder, SD, William and his wife Amy of Falls City, Dan and his wife Michelle of Falls City, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, sister-in-law Muriel Docker. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Leonard.

The body of Mary Helen has been cremated and a graveside service will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Verdon Cemetery with Father Ben Rynearson officiating.

No viewing or visitation, friends may sign the guest registry during regular business hours at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.

Instead of flowers donations, the family prefers memorials be made to Family Choice for later designation.
