Mina Zimmerman

Mina A. Zimmerman, 89, of Falls City, NE, passed away March 23, 2023 at Falls City. She was born March 18, 1934 north of Rulo, NE to Charlie and Mae (Palmer) Vogele.

She married Howard Zimmerman on September 16, 1951 at Rulo. He passed away April 26, 2021.

Mina was raised north of Rulo and attended Falls City High School. When married the couple established their home on a farm northeast of Falls City until moving to Monmouth, IL in 1959. They then moved to Marysville, KS where they purchased the Gamble’s store. After they sold that business she worked for several businesses and owned her own ceramic and craft business for many years. They moved to Falls City in 2012. She enjoyed being with family and her extended family as well as cooking, canning, baking and quilting. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Mina is survived by her children, Mike and his wife Jane of Marysville, KS and Cindy Dummermuth and her husband Richard of Olathe, KS, granddaughters, Natalie Furniss and Angela Melvin, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, special family friend Francis Feldhausen of Marysville and a sister, Carol Sparr and her husband Ted of Red Oak, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Charles Vogele and a sister, Ruth Briggs.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 10:30 AM at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Brown officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
