Obituary

Norma Lee (Bauer) Roland, 94, of Falls City, NE, passed away August 5, 2023 at Falls City. She was born November 30, 1928 at Straussville, NE to Edmund and Ethel (Goolsby) Bauer.

She married Artie L. “Roy” Roland on August 19, 1949 at Falls City. He passed away February 20, 1990.

Norma was raised north of Falls City and graduated from Falls City High School in 1947. Following graduation, she worked at Weimer Implement. When married the couple made their home on a farm northwest of Verdon when married and then north of Falls City two years later. In 1961 she became employed at Falls City Meat Company, working in the office, a position she held for 32 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (6 miles north of Falls City).

Norma is survived by her son, Jerry and his wife Marsha of Falls City, grandchildren, John Roland and Sara Rue both of Falls City, Alex Roland of Dallas, TX and Melissa Hasemann of Lincoln, NE, great-grandchildren, Evi, Leo, Nori and Demi Rue, Rowan and Emilia Hasemann. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Dr. Ronald Roland.

Mrs. Roland has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
