Rick Kearney

Rick Kearney, 66, of Falls City, NE, passed away June 14, 2020 at Falls City. He was born October 27, 1953 at Nebraska City, NE to Harold and Margaret (Crawford) Kearney.

He married Teresa Marx on June 27, 1981 at Falls City. They divorced in 1990.

Rick was raised at Nehawka, NE and graduated Falls City High School in 1973. Following graduation he worked for Bob Frederick farming. He then took employment with Scheitel Feed and Seed and worked over 30 years there until working at Salem Grain. He retired in 2016. He enjoyed taking care of his grandchildren. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

Rick is survived by his children, Stephanie Kearney and Jeremy Kearney and his wife Taylor both of Falls City, brother, Harley of Sioux City, IA, sisters, Cherie Talbot and her husband Brent of Leyton, UT, Linda Ried and her husband Roy of Omaha, NE, Peggy Hobscheidt and her husband Don of Syracuse, NE and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, June 19, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Lawrence Stoley as the presiding priest. Inurnment will be in Falls City Catholic Cemetery.

A Parish Rosary will be recited on Thursday, 7:00 PM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
