Scott Shubert Obituary

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to Family Choice for later designation.

Scott Shubert, 46, of Shubert, NE, passed away February 7, 2023 at Shubert. He was born March 22, 1976 at Humboldt, NE to Alan and Bobbi Jo (Brown) Shubert.

He married Nicky Hopper on April 29, 2000 at Stella, NE

Scott was raised at Shubert and graduated from Southeast Consolidated High School in 1994. He then worked several different jobs and in 1997 he began driving a truck for Kevin Vonderschmidt and in 2012 he then drove for Fairview Mills and in 2013 he became employed at Sickel Farms. He was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church at Stella, former Chief and member of Shubert Volunteer Fire Department and for the Rural Falls City Volunteer Fire Department.

Scott is survived by his wife, Nicky of Shubert, children, Chelsi Shubert of Lincoln, Emma and Benjamin Shubert both of Shubert, parents, Alan and Bobbi Jo of Shubert, sister, Abby Shubert and her friend Nick Fischer of Falls City, in-laws, Darrell and Linda Hopper of Nemaha, NE, brothers-in-law, Doug Hopper of Falls City, Eric Hopper and his wife Amanda of Dawson, NE, nieces and nephews, Skyler, Taylor, Tyler, Jayden, Jordyn Hopper and Adisen Fischer.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Grace Bible Fellowship Church, east of Stella, with Pastor David Lockard officiating. Interment will be in Prairie Union Cemetery.

The service will be livestreamed on Dorr and Clark Funeral Home's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/dorrandclarkfuneralhome  . Because of copywrite laws we will be muting the musical selections during the service.

The service will be broadcast on 889.7 FM so people may be able to sit in their cars and listen when the church reaches full capacity.

Viewing will begin Sunday afternoon until 5:00 PM and beginning at 9:00 AM on Monday at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
