Shea, 13, beloved family pet and comfort dog at Dorr and Clark Funeral, crossed the Rainbow Bridge, Friday, January 24, 2020.
She began working at the funeral home at the age of 4 providing comfort and compassion to grieving families, lessening their anxiety and greeting visitors. She looked forward to coming to work every day. She was often requested to be present at services for families that had children attending.
Her body had been taken over by a rare form of dog cancer that was not treatable and life became very hard. It would have been selfish of us to keep her going much more.
She leaves behind her family, Denise, Brian, Kyle and Emmett who will miss her dearly and Midge who will carry on her work at the funeral home.
We would like to thank the good doctors and staff at Animal Health Center for their exceptional care and understanding during this trying time.
