Velda Milke

Velda Milke, 82, of Stella, NE, passed away October 22, 2021 at Falls City, NE. She was born October 28, 1938 at Beatrice, NE to Charles and Gladys (Bindrum) Robinson.

She married Donald Milke on June 29, 1956 at Beatrice, NE. He passed away May 29, 2007.

Velda grew up in Beatrice, moved to Falls City for a couple of years attending Falls City High School. She returned to Beatrice and graduated from Beatrice High school in 1956. She continued at the Joseph College of Hair Design receiving her certificate working at Northview Care Center for more than 20 years doing hair. She also worked at Southeast Consolidated school as a janitor part-time later after her children were grown. She loved going to the casinos with her friends and when the Hitch’n Post café was open in Stella, she would eat dinner and visit with friends during the day.

Velda is survived by her sons, Tracy Milke and his wife Deb of Stella, Tim Milke of Cocoa Beach, FL, Tom Milke and his wife Audrey of Stella, Todd Milke and his fiancé Ashley Fisher of Humboldt, NE, twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Charles Duane “C.D.” Robinson.

A graveside service will be Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Stella Cemetery with Pastor Michael Schmidt officiating.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
