William "Bill" Roussan

William “Bill” Roussan, 82, of Salem, NE, passed away May 25, 2023 at Falls City. He was born April 26, 1941 at Meeteetse, WY to Barney and Lucille (Green) Roussan.

He married Kathy Tichota on December 14, 1984 at Falls City.

Bill enlisted in the U. S. Army on September 15, 1959 at Butte, MT. He was a M. P. and a dog handler and trainer. He was honorably discharged on September 14, 1961 at Omaha, NE.

Bill was raised at Meeteetse and graduated high school in 1959. Following his discharge, he learned the electrician trade in Lincoln and Council Bluffs, IA and then joined the IBEW and was a member for 42 years. He worked all over the United States in residential, commercial and public power. He retired in 2005. He continued to training bird dogs in the Sand Hills for many years.

Bill is survived by his wife, Kathy of Salem, brothers, Lynn Coale of Middleton, VT, Allen Hogg of Meeteetse, WY, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Marty and William, brothers, Barney and Pete Roussan, Iver Coale and John Hogg, and a sister, Emily Coale.

A private scattering of ashes will be held in the Sand Hills at a later date.
