Wilma Oberst

Wilma G. Oberst, 98, of Falls City, NE, passed away December 15, 2020 at Falls City, NE. She was born January 24, 1922 at Douglas, NE to William J. and Manilla (Rowell) Hendricks.

She married Virgil Oberst on May 4, 1940 at Nebraska City, NE. He passed away August 17, 2004.

Wilma was raised in the Barada, NE area. When married the couple established their home northeast of Falls City and moved into Falls City in 1956. She worked at The Vogue and Katy’s and Morsman's Studio, retiring in 1969 and became a homemaker. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family. She loved being outside working in the yard with her flowers and just sitting on the patio. She was member of Northridge Church.

Wilma is survived by her daughters, Sondra Bauer and her husband Ronald of Lincoln, NE, Cheryl Vossen of Falls City, grandchildren, Michael Bauer of Seward, Michelle Gillilland of Gretna, Kimberly Bauer of Lincoln, Marc Gillilland of LaCygne, KS, eight great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Marvin Hendricks, sisters,  Doris Nolte and Thelma Kuenning.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Farley officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.

Open visitation and viewing will begin on Wednesday evening until 7:00 PM and on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
