We go back a long way. The two of us were the terror of North School when we were in the 3rd grade. OH those poor teachers. The famous, "Clearing of the throat" and a response to each other repeatedly during class. 75 years old and I remember it like it was yesterday. And bike races back to his house after school.. Even in the last couple of years when In FCN we would meet and discuss "the old days". We will all miss him. He will always have a place in my memory. LZ.

So very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was such a wonderful, kind-hearted man. Never knew a stranger, always a contagious smile from ear to ear, and so many stories to share. Great sense of humor! He hired me for my first job in Falls City, when I moved from Iowa, at the Vet's Club, where I happened to meet the love of my life, Ed. That was 38 years ago. He was a loyal, respected friend to Ed and I both, always enjoyed ready to converse!! Rest in Peace, Dave.
Our sympathy and prayers to his family; he will be missed!

The last two years I have tried to keep in touch with Dave. I really enjoyed visiting with him for he was always in a good mood. He always made you feel he was so glad to hear from you. I regret not getting in touch with him sooner than I did. May he rest in peace. He will be missed but not forgotten.

Dave, you and Jack will now, once again, be able to stand around and shoot the breeze for hours-on-end like you used to out at the liquor store on Jack’s visits to FC. While you leave us all very sad by your passing, Jack will be so happy to see you again.

Dave, was the “go to guy” if you wanted to check a historical fact about FC or anyone in it during the last half century and more. In today’s parlance he would be “one of the most interesting people” around. I so enjoyed our occasional chats when I came back to FC.

To Dave’s family, I extend my sincere condolences, I considered him a friend and all who knew him were the better off for the fact. Rest in peace Good Dave.
