Such a shame. I am terribly saddened by Diana's untimely passing. She was an absolutely GORGEOUS woman inside and out. She had a knack and a charm that was truly one of a kind. I believe she had the ability to make each and every one of her students feel so special that they (and their parents) truly believed that they were her favorite student. Honestly. And of course she was EVERYones favorite teacher!!' She was my fifth grade teacher and favorite of all time.... Andy daughter Ali's kindergarten teacher also her favorite. She had such a beautiful smile and beautiful soul. I cried when I heard she was gone because this town will be a little darker and a little emptier without her radiance. I loved her and Ali loved her and I'm truly sad for Steve and Erin and Eliza it is not fair that's for sure. Hang onto the memories and she will live on forever in our hearts

I learned today of Mrs. Kottich's death and the Don family sends prayers and thoughts to all the Kottichs. Mrs. Kottich was an exceptional teacher and her intelligence and spirit meant a great deal to our daughters as they grew while we lived in Falls City.

My deepest sympathies to the entire family. Diana was so brave and beautiful. I last saw her this fall at a Sacred Heart football game. She walked into the stands smiling as though she didn't have a care in the world. Such grace is rare. Peace to all.

Steve and family, I was so sorry to hear of Diana's passing. I have such great memories of Diana when I student taught with her. She was an outstanding teacher and touched many, many lives. Teachers will always hold a place in their students' hearts. Ms. Kottich was such a sweet, caring, and amazing lady. Although I haven't seen her in many years, she has always been in my thoughts. I pray that God gives you all strength to bear such a loss yet joy in knowing she is in a place of ultimate peace. We have all been blessed by her presence in our lives.
