Have nothing but great memories of pitching as Katie caught for the Squaw Creek Blues (1958-1961). Those were delightful days for a group of teen-aged girls from Mound City. Katie was an integral part of that team. My heart sank when I learned of the loss of Katie - a truly special person.

Dear Uncle Bob, Mike and Misti and families...I am so very sorry to hear of Aunt Katie's passing. I know from reading Misti's posts that she fought and fought for a long time. We were so sorry to hear about Katie. Judy loved playing bridge and conversing with her, and loved her sense of humor. I even used to play tennis with her back in the 70's. She was certainly one of a kind, and will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers to out to Bob, Mike, Misti, and all of the family.
