Margaret Guffin

Margaret Guffin, 97, of Falls City, NE, passed away September 2, 2014 at Falls City. She was born April 19, 1917 at East Lansing, MI to the late John and Eva (Warner) Barker.

On December 19, 1933 she married Joe Vaneno at Mason, MI, they were later divorced. She married Bobby Guffin on August 15, 1942 at Tampa, FL. He passed away September 11, 1990.

Margaret was raised in East Lansing and following her marriage to Mr. Vaneno lived at Mason, MI. When married to Mr. Guffin they made their home in Costa Mesa, CA. She lived there until moving to Falls City in May of 1991 to be near her family. She was a member of Good News Assembly of God Church at Falls City.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Joyce McCartney of Falls City, five grandchildren, Mike McCartney of Willis, MO, Jim McCartney of Falls City, Cindy Erpelding of Platte City, MO, Tammie Vice of Falls City, Angie Wendtlandt of Falls City, twenty-four great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters, sons, Donald and Richard in infancy, grandchildren, Lloyd in infancy, Bobby and Rusty and great-grandchildren, Damon Gates and Rebel McCartney.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Boatright officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-7:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
