Rod was one of the kindest and most thoughtful persons I have had the pleasure of knowing. Our 11 am coffee group has missed the pleasure of his company since illness caused him to be less frequent in attendance. His children are a shining reflection of the love he and Betty shared with one another.

I got to know Rodney and his family when they lived in Weeping Water through my job at UPS. Rodney and his parents were some of the nicest people you could ever want to know. I would like to thank Rodney for all the good things he did for my family through his work in our times of sorrow. My condolences go out to his entire family.

Rod was such a good friend. We met at Peru in 1953 and although we have never lived nearby our friendship has remained strong all these years .He was a kind, generous and gracious man. Our condolences to Mary, Dave and Steve and their families.

The community has experienced a huge lost with Rod's passing. All who knew him were familiar with his kindness, support and generous ways.. Not for show or pats on the back. He just quietly showed acts of kindness both professionally and personally. Once again he can be with his beloved Betty.

I will always have in my mind's eye the image of Rod in his shorts cutting the lawn in front of Dorr Funeral Home on his " day off."
Betty was my true friend and soul mate while we served in Falls City. And Rod was her ever supporting and constantly loving rock. She knew that.
Rod was a man of personal discipline and Christian faith. And he made a mean horseradish !
My love to all the various and sundry Knaup extended family.
Rod made an impact way beyond a single community in Richardson County,
Rev. Veronica Walsh Don

Rodney was a fine gentleman who served many members and generations of both sides of my parents families with kindness and grace over the years. A life well lived in service to his fellow man. May the family find comfort in considering all of the lives he touched in a positive manner.
