Rod was one of the first officers that I met at NBC. I was affiliated with the Fairbury State Bank which used NBC as a correspondent. Rod and I continued to be friends and Rod provided me with a lot of information and guidance early in my banking career. He was a great guy. He will be missed by many.

Very sorry to hear of Rodney's passing. Became well acquainted during Rodney's service at National Bank of Commerce and while serving as Chairman of NE Banker's Association. He served the industry very well. I served as Chairman about 5 years later. We extend our heartfelt sympathies.

Very sad to learn of Rod's passing. I always enjoyed interviewing him about his beloved Falls City and his most recent passion, fixing up state roads.
It is people like Rod who make this state so great.

Being a former Nebraska banker myself, I served under Rod more than 20 years ago with the Nebraska Bankers Association when he was President, and I was on his Marketing committee. Our friendship was renewed when we became neighbors in Lincoln eight years ago. We will all miss Rod.

I was saddened to hear of Rod's passing. I got to know him at the Elks, bowling, golf, and just around town. He was a good man, and did so much for FC. RIP my friend.

Pam, Lori and families - I am so sorry for the loss of your father. I have always had so much respect for him. He taught me a lot while working for him even though there were times when I had to remind him we didn't have any thing to do with what he did the night before. But I always got a smile in return. He has done so much for this community and he will be greatly missed.

I enjoyed serving with Rod on the state Highway Commission. He was a great voice for his district and the entire state. He will be missed.

I first knew Rod from our banking connections. Through the years, he and my husband, Jud, had more contact on the Peru State College Foundation Board of Directors. They were often of the same mind to support SE Nebraska and the Foundation in any possible manner. I will miss Rod's comments and positive attitude towards the future. Joyce Douglas

I became acquainted with Rod several years ago while working with Jerry Joy's campaign. He was such a strong supporter and a good friend to Jerry. I enjoyed working with him in this fashion and wished I had known him longer. Falls City has benefited so much from his efforts in the community.
