Norman Kuker

Norman Dale Kuker , 84, of Barada, NE, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven Saturday, November 15, 2014. He was born May 10, 1930 near Falls City, NE to the late Irvin and Minerva (Hendricks) Kuker.
Norman was raised on the Barada family farm. He graduated from the 10th grade from the Barada schoolhouse. Norman met the love of his life Maxine Marie Berg. On April 19, 1948 they were united in marriage at St. Marks Lutheran Church near Verdon, NE. They built their home and began their life together on the family farm just south of Barada. They have been married for 66 blessed and grateful years. He was a 65 year member of the Barada United Methodist Church. Serving on the church board for 50 years and the Barada school board. He was a staple in this community. Norman had a love for farming. His wife Maxine, his kids, his grand/great grandchildren, his family, neighbors and friends are who he would always put first. Norm was always ready to lend a helping hand. It is what he loved to do. He was a man of faith. And a man of many trades. He could build or repair anything. Norman spent his time farming the family land. During his early years he worked at the Falls City Agricultural office. He was a mechanic, cattleman, did custom hay bailing and a Fontanelle Seed Dealer.
Norman's legacy will be carried on by his wife Maxine (Berg) Kuker of Barada, daughter, Pam (special friend George), of Falls City, sons, Rick (Fran), of Shubert. Gerald (special friend Betty), of Falls City.
Norman's devoted Grandchildren include - Craig Dungan (Mara), Becky Vonderschmidt (Justin), Brian Kuker (Cassandra), Stephanie Kuker, Crystal Eickhoff (Robert), Desi McQueen (Brandon), Cassie Gaddis, Shelby Kuker, Eli Kuker.
Norman's Great Grandchildren include - Adisen Fischer, Cayleigh Eickhoff, Breean Eickhoff, Owyn Eickhoff, Destini Kuker, Mason Corliss, Eliza Kuker, Malori Kuker, Asher Kuker, Electra Kuker (born at rest), Brandon Adams, Skyler Adams, McKenzie Wall, Jacob Gaddis, Liberty Gaddis, Corbyn Kuker, Paisleigh Baker, Hunter Hesterman, Brooklyn Hesterman.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents Irvin and Minerva, brother Neroy (born at rest), brother Melvin, a son, Baby Kuker (born at rest) and his great grandchild Electra (born at rest).
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 10:30 am the Barada United Methodist Church, Barada, NE. He will be laid to rest at the Harris Cemetery in Barada with Pastor Jerry Yount officiating.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be sent to the family to be used for a special memorial.
